There's only one ingredient in these dog treats, and it's a good one:

100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef liver.

Our humanely-raised pork liver is a great option, too.

You're just a few steps away from a highly nutritious, protein-rich treat your pup won't be able to resist.

Grass-fed Beef Liver Dog Treats

Ingredients

One Straw Ranch grass-fed beef liver – any quantity

or

One Straw Ranch humanely raised pork liver - any quantity

Directions

  • Place a package of beef liver in the fridge to thaw for a few hours.
    • Not too long, just until the edges get soft – you want it to be firm and icy through. It’s SO much easier to slice than thawed liver.
  • With a large, heavy bladed chef knife, slice the still-mostly-frozen liver into fairly even slices, about 1/8” – 1/4” thick.
  • Place in a dehydrator, smoker or oven until thoroughly dry.
    • You want the temp about 155 - 170 degrees, so a warm oven works fine if you don't have a dehydrator.
    • I line my dehydrator trays (or sheet pans for the oven) with parchment paper for easy cleanup. In the smoker, I just lay the strips out over the racks.
  • Check for doneness by removing a piece and allowing it to cool before trying to snap it.
    • If it snaps easily, it's ready. If it bends, it needs more time.
  • Cool and then snap into pieces. Store in an airtight jar at room temp or refrigerate/freeze for long term storage.

Make your best friend incredibly happy – and feel good about what you’re feeding them.
