With their rich flavor and ease of cooking, chuck roasts are a household staple.
Cook low and slow, covered and with a bit of liquid in the oven or slow cooker, and they'll reward you with fall-apart-tender deliciousness.
Famous for their starring role in the classic Pot Roast, they make a special holiday centerpiece, too.
Season with rosemary and thyme, add carrots, onions and perhaps some red wine and let the oven or slow cooker do the work!
Note: Sometimes we carry both a Chuck Roll Roast and a Chuck Arm Roast, which are equally delicious in rich chuck flavor and tenderness. They can absolutely be used interchangeably in any recipe.
The main difference is in the fat:meat composition. The Chuck Roll carries its fat wrapped throughout the meat, so it may fall apart more as you slice it (making it perfect for a pulled-beef experience). The Chuck Arm carries more of its fat as a cap on the outside, so it may be a bit easier if you want to serve slices of roast.
