Boston Butt Roast

The highly flavorful bone-in roast is the classic choice for making pulled pork, with all its many uses.

With its layers of marbling throughout, this is an amazingly delicious and tender roast when cooked low and slow with some moisture. Braise in the oven or in a slow cooker, or even cook in an instant pot.

Don't miss the recipe below that includes my quick and easy Fresh Fried Applesauce, which makes the perfect accompaniment.

Ready for a cool meat history factoid?

Despite its name, the Boston Butt comes from the shoulder of the pig. It got its name from the practice in olden days of packing meat for transport in short barrels called butts.

All meat is sold frozen.
